Artist's Comments

Okay, here's the second side of the BIG DRUM. This is Jormungand, the serpent that twines around the world. He and Thor battle in Ragnarok, and kill eachother. He is a son of Loki. I made his wings small intentionally, as I never really imagine him flying. He seems to be more of an earthy/watery serpent to me. But, the wings add a lot of depth to the illustration and so I kept them in. They're a little tattered, because I doubt he uses them much. Anyway, the other side of this double-headed drum is the Yggdrasil tree (complete with winds, Nidhogg, Ratatosk, and Vidofnir.)
