An old drum - Hand made by a friend in town. I paint on these quite regularly, so expect to see a few in the gallery.

What sort of paint did you use? I am surprised it doesn't smudge o-o
:iconfafnirsheart:
This drum was painted with ink and liquid acrylic, and sealed with a matte acrylic varnish. "tested" by 500 school kids on a demonstration day at the Siouxland Renaissance Festival a few years back.

St. Francis said,
“A man who uses his hands is a laborer. One who uses his hands and mind is a craftsman. He who uses his hands, and his mind, and his heart is an artist.”

This is beautiful. Such a great way to pair music and art...

Each moment, fleeting as the next, grants insight and delusion. Reaching out for pain, solace, a knife's edge dance to be celebrated. A delicate balance struck by those who serve. Each moment, a fleeting thought and a heartbeat's dance away from the edge.
